In the future of language immersion at PPS high schools

All students, staff and families are invited to a presentation on Portland Public Schools’ plans for language immersion at the high school level.

Expected outcomes for high school immersion students
Elements of a successful secondary immersion program
Options PPS is considering for immersion programs under High School System Design

In addition to these three information sessions, principals at Beach, Bridger, Clarendon-Portsmouth, Kelly, Lent and Rigler K-8s will meet with their communities of families to discuss language immersion.

Next Steps: PPS will conduct parent and student surveys and focus groups to learn more about the community’s interests in, and wishes for, language immersion in high school.

This meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities.
