In addition to these three information sessions, principals at Beach, Bridger, Clarendon-Portsmouth, Kelly, Lent and Rigler K-8s will meet with their communities of families to discuss language immersion.

Next Steps: PPS will conduct parent and student surveys and focus groups to learn more about the community’s interests in, and wishes for, language immersion in high school.

This meeting location is accessible to persons with disabilities. Open House

The Northwest Chinese Academy


The Northwest Chinese Academy will hold Friday evening open houses to give prospective families the opportunity to learn about and experience Northwest Chinese Academy. Families attending an open house will have the opportunity to meet NWCA staff, tour the facility, enjoy refreshments, and meet families and children currently enrolled in the academy. The dates of the open houses are February 5, February 26 and March 12, with activities beginning at 6:00 pm.

The International School

Parents are invited to a preschool and kindergarten open house of the Chinese, Spanish and Japanese true immersion program at The International School.

The International School is PreK through 5th grade and accepts new students without any second language experience into preschool and kindergarten.

The school was founded in 1990 and is an International Baccalaureate candidate school.

BODHI TREE LANUAGE CENTER OPEN HOUSES AND CLASSES

Open House for Chinese Immersion Preschool: Lake Oswego

Programs for Preschoolers & Toddlers in Lake Oswego Area

The Bodhi Tree Language Center is holding several open houses at our location in Lake Oswego. This is a good opportunity for families of preschool and pre-k aged children (ages 2-6), living in the Lake Oswego, West Linn, Tigard, and Tualatin areas particularly, to visit, meet the teachers, and get familiar with the various Mandarin Chinese Immersion preschool and toddlers
programs that we offer.

Open House Dates & Times: January 27 (Weds) from 9:30-12 noon, and February 3, 10 and 17 (Weds) from 9:30-12 noon.

This is a good opportunity for families of homeschooled children (ages 6-12), preschool and pre-k aged children (ages 2-6), and also children ages 6-12 interested in enrolling in our afterschool programs and also Saturday classes (ages 6-12) -- to visit, meet the teachers, and get familiar with the various Mandarin Chinese Immersion preschool and toddlers programs that we offer.

Open House Dates & Times: January 19 and 26 (Tues) from 9:30-12 noon, and February 2, 9 (Tues) from 9:30-12 noon.

The Bodhi Tree Language Center is now enrolling in our Winter-term 2010 language classes in for children ages (6-12) in Mandarin Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, and Laotian. Language classes for children last 12 weeks and are either 2 hours or 1.5 hours a week (depends on class).

Start Dates: Winter term classes begin January 9, 2010 (Saturday) and the week of January 11, 2010.

Start Dates: Winter term classes begin January 9, 2010 (Saturday) and the week of January 11, 2010.
