“ China and the United States : Partners in Global Leadership?”

Can the U.S. and China look forward to continued improvement and collaboration in international economic and political relations? Specifically, what are the prospects for increased bilateral trade between China and Oregon ? The Ambassador’s extensive experience, and his important position at this crucial point in the development of China-U.S. relations, promise to provide a valuable perspective on these issues.

Ambassador Zhou Wenzhong served previously as Assistant and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs in Beijing . He was earlier China ’s Ambassador to Australia , as well as to Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda . He has previous experience in the U.S. as Minister at the Embassy in Washington , D.C. and Consul General in San Francisco and Los Angeles . Ambassador Zhou studied at Bath University and the London School of Economics in England .
