Volunteers wanted at Chinese New Year celebration

If anyone would like to help out at this year's Chinese New Year celebration on Saturday the 24th at Legin we would GREATLY appreciate it. We are looking for individuals to staff the raffle table selling tickets and to sell books at the Powell's Books Table for 30 minute shifts. HOMELAND TOURS INFORMATION FOR 2009

Our agency will have an informational meeting on homeland tours on February 21 at the ASIA office on 215 SW Hooker, Suite 100 in Portland from 1 -3 pm. Click here for an informational flyer.
POPS FOUNDATION
The Prince of Peace Foundation is happy to officially open registration for the 2009 China Cultural Trip. We are very pleased to share that the China Language Educational Foundation will be heavily subsidizing the cost of this trip, and it will only cost $700 per adult / $400 per child (age 10-17) for travel within China. We will be traveling from June 19-29, 2009. For more detailed information, please see the brochure.
When you are ready to make a reservation, please return the application form and required documents to our office. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.

WAITING FAMILIES MEETING ON MELAMINE FEB. 8
The Waiting Families group is meeting at a new location on Sunday, February 8. (NOT the first Sunday of the month-We skipped for Super bowl weekend.)
Our topic is an important one, the recent milk and formula contamination in China (children have been affected who were adopted as far back as 2004). We have Doctor Meg Hayes, an international adoption pediatrician, speaking to our group about potential ramifications to our kiddos, tests, and how the medical community is addressing this. We are opening this meeting to anyone who would like to attend in the FCC community.
What: Doctor Hayes on Melamime
Date: Sunday, Feb 8
Time: 3:00-4:30 (As always we invite recently returned families from China to bring their little one from 4:30-5:00)
Where: PSU campus, Cramer Hall (*south entrance)
1721 SW Broadway, Portland, OR
Parking is free
**The south entrance is between Smith Student Center and Cramer Hall).
There is a Starbucks and several sandwich shops within walking distance.
