Keynote Speaker: Jack Elder, is a 1972 U.S. Olympian. He will speak about his experiences as a member of the US Olympic Team in Sapporo, as well as the significance of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and its role and impact on U.S./China relations.

PORTLAND CHINESE GARDEN FALL PROGRAMS

Scrolls From China is an Oregon-based company that partners with artists who are orphans in China. A collection of Scrolls From China will be displayed in the Garden’s Celestial House of Permeating Fragrance in Fall/Winter 2007.

8th annual Fall Chrysanthemum Exhibit
This year’s program will include educational posters and handouts and sampling of chrysanthemum teas. An evening presentation on Chrysanthemum cultivation will be held on November 5th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. Cost: $5, r.s.v.p. required. Call 503.228.8131 x2001 to register.

FCC Annual Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation dinner Oct. 7

Join us for our annual meeting and volunteer appreciation dinner on October 7! Pizza and salad hosted by FCC, come to vote in our 2007/08 board of directors. Held at the Lucky Labrador brew pub on SW Capitol Highway. http://www.luckylab.com/html/directions.html for directions.

Starting Sept. 8 - Chinese Cultural Dance for kids age 5-9

WALKING DOWN THE VILLAGE PATH SEPT. 23

Tony Zheng of Our Chinese Daughter's Foundation will present Walking Down The Village Path on Sunday, September 23 from 1-5 pm at The Friendship Masonic Temple in Portland.

Suggested donation of $5 to $10 (all proceeds go to the FCC Chenge Orphanage Project). Childcare provided by FCC dance team, teens and parents.

1-3 pm Returning to China with your adopted child
3:30 -5 pm Status of Orphanages in China.

ARTHUR - BINKY GETS A SISTER FROM CHINA - RERUNNING
